What we look for

Signs worth paying attention to

Many children breathe and sleep in ways that quietly affect their development. These are some of the things parents notice — and the things our assessment asks about.

Snoring at night
Breathing through the mouth
Restless, broken sleep
Bedwetting beyond the usual age
Teeth grinding
Daytime focus and mood

This is general information, not a diagnosis. Every child is different — the assessment helps a dentist decide whether anything is worth looking at more closely.

How it works

Four simple steps, mostly from your phone

01

Free photo assessment

A short questionnaire and six guided photos of your child's face and bite — about ten minutes, from your phone at home.

02

An AHPRA-registered dentist reviews

Your assigned Holistic Smiles dentist reviews the case and sends a clear Growth & Development report — usually within three business days.

03

A staged program, if it's right

If your child qualifies, a soft-silicone appliance program arrives by post with app-guided daily steps and myofunctional support.

04

Monitored remotely over time

Monthly photos and periodic clinician review keep the program on track — without repeated trips to a clinic.

The program

A 24-month program built around daily habits

Holistic Smiles combines four supportive layers, monitored remotely so your child can do most of it at home.

Nightly appliance wear

A staged, soft-silicone oral appliance worn each night, designed to support healthy jaw and airway development.

Myofunctional therapy

Guided exercises — and, on the Myo plan, live sessions with a trained therapist — to retrain breathing, swallowing and tongue posture.

Nasal hygiene & daily habits

Simple daily routines that support nasal breathing, delivered as a friendly checklist your child can follow themselves.

Remote clinician monitoring

Photo submissions and periodic review by your dentist, with a care coordinator you can message any time.

Care you can trust

Every assessment is reviewed by a registered Australian dentist.

Holistic Smiles dentists are registered with AHPRA and work to the standards of the Dental Board of Australia. Because registration is national, your assigned dentist can care for your child wherever you live.
